Class Six: Light Search & Rescue (SAR)

In this unit you will learn about: 

• Classifying damaged buildings into Light, Moderate, or Heavy
• Search and rescue 
• Lifting heavy objects and mechanical advantage 

Participants learn about search and rescue planning, size-up, search techniques, rescue techniques, and most importantly, rescuer safety. Also, how to lift heavy objects using cribbing methods.
